DO I NEED A MEDICAL DOCTOR’S REFERRAL?

No. Chiropractors are legislated as primary contact health professionals in every province in Canada. This means that patients can consult them directly without referral.

IS CHIROPRACTIC COVERED UNDER OHIP AND INSURANCE PLANS?

Chiropractic is covered by most health insurance plans but is no longer covered by OHIP. Call your insurance provider to find out how much chiropractic benefit coverage you have in your specific plan.

DOES YOUR OFFICE CLAIM MY INSURANCE FOR ME OR DO I?

For some extended health benefit plans the office can direct bill your plan, otherwise, patients pay the office and claim their own insurance coverage.  The office will provide a statement and patients use this statement to claim reimbursement from their extended health benefits.

WHAT IS AN ADJUSTMENT?

An adjustment is a highly skilled and precise movement applied by hand or instrument to a joint of the body. It loosens the joint to restore proper movement and optimize function.

ARE CHIROPRACTIC ADJUSTMENTS SAFE?

Yes. Chiropractic is widely recognized as one of the safest, drug-free, non-invasive therapies available for the treatment of headache, neck and back pain. It has an excellent safety record backed by ever-growing empirical research.

WHAT IS THE "CRACK" SOUND I HEAR DURING AN ADJUSTMENT?

When a joint is adjusted, gas escapes from it causing the popping noise you have heard.
